Studio Sonder - Tangible Tales
Deliverables: Audio-reactive pattern, laser-cut sound sculptures, art prints and publication
Design by: Katie Deller, Calvin Lai, Franziska Steinkohl
By adopting a playful, flexible creative process where experimental design was used as a medium, the collective Studio Sonder explored how the intangible can become tangible. In the final interactive space, titled Tangible Tales, visitors could experience their personal kinaesthetic relationship with sound. An interactive pattern visualised sound in real time while laser-cut sculptures were samples of audio in tangible form. Additionally, a selection of large-scale art prints captured bird songs and the human voice frozen in time. An accompanying publication of all the experiments showcased the creative journey.
