An engaging storybook to help Te Papa achieve their goals.
Te Papa, the national museum of New Zealand, were pitching for two large catering/venue contracts. Te Papa wanted to call attention how the museum helps Wellington develop creatively, culturally and economically. Together with creative director Brian Slade (Insight Creative), I developed a pitch document which illustrated why Te Papa was the ideal partner for each contract. The storybook highlighted the unique and vibrant nature of Wellington and undermined the intrinsic relationship and strong local connection Te Papa has to the capital.
My key responsibilities included selecting appropriate imagery, colour treatment and developing a striking use of typography. This ultimately created a visual narrative that engaged readers at an emotional level supported by rational arguments. Te Papa accepted one proposed contract after proceeding to the final round, ultimately increasing their annual revenue substantially.
